About Sean and his photography
Sean Reagan is a documentary, travel, and commercial photographer based in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
He has a love for culture and adventure and his photography has been published in magazines such as Alloy + Grit, Land Rover Monthly, and Rovers Magazine.
As cultures evolve and many cede to stronger cultural currents, these photos try to capture where we are in that process and to celebrate the diversity and richness of this moment.
The David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies exhibited Sean’s photography in Mexico City in 2015. The exhibition focused on a series of interviews examining the perilous journey of Central American migrants traveling to the United States.
In 2016, Sean’s photography of San Miguel and its people was featured in a book published by San Miguel de Allende’s Tourism Board titled “Viaje al Corazón”.
Prior to relocating to Mexico in 2009, Sean worked in Washington, DC and Cambridge, Massachusetts. More recently, he served as an Associate Professor and Researcher with the University of Papaloapan in northern Oaxaca.

Mientras las culturas evolucionan y muchas ceden a corrientes culturales más fuertes, estas fotos intentan captar dónde nos encontramos en ese proceso y mostrar la diversidad y la riqueza de este momento.
El Centro David Rockefeller de Estudios Latinoamericanos expuso la fotografía de Sean en la Ciudad de México en 2015. La exposición se centró en una serie de entrevistas que examinan el peligroso viaje de los migrantes centroamericanos que viajan a los Estados Unidos.
En 2016, la fotografía de Sean sobre San Miguel y su gente apareció en un libro publicado por la Secretaría de Turismo de San Miguel de Allende titulado “Viaje al Corazón”.
Antes de mudarse a México en 2009, Sean trabajó en Washington, DC y Cambridge, Massachusetts. Mas recientemente, fue profesor asociado e investigador de la Universidad del Papaloapan, en el norte de Oaxaca.
